Program Description

An internationally applauded period instrument and vocal ensemble, PBO engages students through a suite of FREE educational programs that capture the style, spirit, and distinctive sounds of music from the early baroque through the present day: In-School Programs feature small ensembles that travel to schools, and the Mobile Mentors program provides coaches for school orchestras, bands, and choruses. Masterclasses, workshops, and a limited number of concert tickets are also available.

Program Description

Poetry Inside Out fosters imagination and builds problem-solving, critical-thinking, and literacy skills through the translation and composition of poetry. PIO has transformed thousands of students’ lives since 2000 and has helped them become lifelong learners, thinkers, and writers. Working in small collaborative groups, students progress from learning literary translation skills to studying poetic structure, form, and figurative language; and by revising, editing, and performing original work.
